Bay Montessori Summer Camp
Join us at Bay Montessori for a summer of discovery and fun!
We offer ten weeks of camps for ages 2-11yo.
Children will have a chance to grow socially, creatively, and emotionally while exploring our 13-acre campus and splashing in our pool!
We take our learning beyond the classroom and apply it firsthand to the world around us.
General Session Info and Pricing:
Pre-Primary Camps (2yo)
Primary Camps (3-5yo) *child has not completed Kindergarten by June 2025
School Age Camps (5-11yo) *child has completed Kindergarten by June 2025
Pre-Primary camps are 9 am - 12 pm.
Primary camps are 9 am - 12 pm (half day) OR 9 am - 3 pm (full day).
School age camps are 9 am - 3 pm.
Before/aftercare is available.

General Session Information:
Camps will be closed on 6/19 to observe Juneteenth and 7/4 to observe Independence Day.
Individual swimming lessons will be offered throughout the summer at an extra cost [8 – 25min lessons for $120]. Parents are welcome to watch their child’s swim lesson and gain ideas to implement at home. (Spaces are limited and Pre-Primary will have priority.)
Enrollment:
All current Bay Montessori School (BMS) students are guaranteed space if signed up in March and must complete the Current Bay Montessori Student Summer Enrollment Form.
Non-BMS students must fill out the Non-Bay Montessori Student Summer Enrollment Form. Space will be confirmed starting April 7th. Primary campers and older must be toilet trained.
Cancellation:
Cancellation of a student’s enrollment in summer camp must occur by 3 pm on Monday, two weeks before their camp begins. If not canceled two weeks prior, you will be responsible for payment of the camp.
****Therefore, it is imperative to inform the office by email or Bloomz message of any changes to your Summer Camp schedule as soon as you know.

Any family with 2 or more children enrolled for 3 or more camps will receive $10 off each child’s camp session.
Montessori Pre-Primary Camps 6/9 – 8/15 (10 weeks)
Pre-Primary campers will experience a Montessori classroom throughout the summer while participating in other fun activities in the sun!
Nature Walks & Gardening – led by our gardener, Ms. Debra, children will enjoy nature walks among our gardens and the meadow while exploring local plants and creatures. Campers will participate in planting seeds, watering
gardens, and harvesting edible treats.
Library & Storytime – children of all ages appreciate being read to! Campers will visit our library at Bay and enjoy storytime with our librarian, Ms. Susan. They will also check out books to keep in their classrooms.
Sprinkler fun/water play – campers will enjoy running around in the sprinklers and splashing with toys at a water table as they develop their fine and gross motor skills and coordination.
Montessori Primary Camps 6/9 – 8/15 (10 weeks)
Primary Campers will join in a variety of interactive activities throughout each week while practicing Montessori practical life in their environments!
Swim Lessons & Sprinkler Fun – campers will receive swimming lessons (2X/week), gain confidence in the pool, and learn skills they can use throughout the summer. They will also enjoy some free swim time and splash in the sprinklers.
Nature Walks & Gardening – led by our gardener, Ms. Debra, children will enjoy nature walks among our gardens and the meadow while exploring local plants and creatures. Campers will participate in planting seeds, watering gardens, and harvesting edible treats.
Art & STEM – campers will explore a variety of art and building materials to create crafts and structures as they develop their fine and gross motor skills and coordination.
Cooking & Baking – campers will enjoy cooking and baking a variety of treats and snacks using hands-on learning and enjoy tasting them afterwards. Cooking is an exciting and pleasant sensory experience for children which provides avenues for the development of math concepts, language, science, and cultural subjects.
Library & Storytime – children of all ages appreciate being read to! Campers will visit our library at Bay and enjoy story time with our librarian, Ms. Susan. They will also check out books to keep in their classrooms.
Wheel Day – campers are invited to bring a riding toy from home to enjoy riding it in our coned-off parking lot while learning about road safety and listening to some music.
Montessori School Age Theme Camps
Along with each Theme Camp, School Age Campers will enjoy some time in the POOL daily! They will learn new skills, play games, and gain confidence in the water as they participate in Swim Lessons & Free Swim every afternoon. They will also practice Montessori Practical Life & Gardening in their classroom and outdoor environments and enjoy Wheel Day on Wednesdays!

06/09/2025 | Habitat Safari | Campers will grab their binoculars and explore the wonder of the world around them with exciting adventures led by Miss Alexa. They will participate in games and activities that teach them about the habitats and animals around the world! Each day of the week will be themed around one habitat (Arctic, Rainforest, Desert, Ocean, and Forest) and is sure to be a roaring good time! This camp will include a hike at Calvert Cliffs on Friday. |
06/16/2025 | Sewing Camp: Stitching and Mending | Everything we wear has stitches, so let’s learn how to make our own! This hands-on camp will introduce students to the timeless art of hand-sewing and mending. Join us for a week of practical skills as we work to create new projects and learn how to mend our very own items. Whether campers are new to sewing or looking to expand their skills, each child will leave with new abilities and tangible creations

06/23/2025 | Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose Sculpture Camp | This camp would focus on sustainability by teaching children how to work with repurposed materials to create sculptures. Campers will explore various forms of sculpture while learning about renowned artists who use recycled materials in their work. This camp will foster creativity and environmental awareness. |
06/30/2025 | Backyard Creations | Join us for a camp filled with old-school, do-it-yourself game extravaganza! This camp will encourage young minds to create their own backyard fun. Campers will make hula-hoops, gigantic bubble wands, racetracks for marbles, outdoor tic-tac-toe, and structures with bamboo while strengthening their fine and gross motor skills with creativity. |
07/07/2025 | Stop-Motion Animation Camp | In this camp, children will be introduced to the art of stop-motion animation, learning the fundamentals of this unique filmmaking genre. They will collaborate in teams to design scenes, create characters, and develop scripts. This experience will combine artistic exploration, creative writing, team building, and an introduction to the filmmaking process. |
07/14/2025 | Music Theory & Rhythm | Campers will make music through interactive activities in a fun and creative environment led by our music teacher, Ms. Emma. They will participate in games and activities that teach theory while experimenting with a variety of musical instruments. Parents are invited to join us on Friday for a little performance! |
07/21/2025 | STEM / Jr. Engineers | Campers will learn the basics of engineering and architecture by using different materials to plan and build steady structures. Bay’s STEM teacher, Miss Alexa, will lead campers through fun and safe engineering activities and experiments. Parents with an engineering background are invited to come talk about their field! |
07/28/2025 | The Art of Capoeira | Kicks, cartwheels, and drums! These are just a few of the pieces that make up the Brazilian art of Capoeira. Campers will learn basic movements, rhythms, and songs in a safe and
playful environment. Parents are invited to help create a “roda”, or Capoeira circle, at the end of the week, when campers will have a chance to apply everything they’ve learned. |
08/04/2025 | All About Dinosaurs | “Terrible lizard” is what paleontologists (dinosaur detectives) call the beasts from the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous Periods. Come experience digging up bones, excavating eggs and identifying tracks as we explore the world of dinosaurs! This camp will include a visit from My Reptile Guys. |
08/11/2025 | Transportation and Model-Building Camp | Inspired by suggestions from Bay students, this camp will explore the history of different modes of transportation. Campers will engage in hands-on learning by designing and constructing their own transportation models to take home, blending history, engineering, and creativity. This camp will include a field trip to the Pax River Naval Air Museum! |
