Bay Montessori School offers before and after school care for parents looking for additional care for their children.  This home-like environment encourages the social, emotional and physical development of each child by incorporating the Montessori philosophy of independence, cooperation, and mutual respect the children experience in their classrooms.   Children look forward to this time of interaction with children from other classrooms.

 

Before Care

• Begins every school day morning at 8am and runs until classrooms open at 8:45

• Available for all children ages 2 through 6th grade

 

After School Care

• Runs every school day until 5pm.  (12 – 5pm for 2-4 yr olds, 3-5pm for K, Elem, and Middle School).

•  Activities are designed to be an extension of the Montessori classroom.  Developmentally appropriate activities such as resting, playing games, having a snack and playing outdoors embrace the principles of the Montessori classroom.

 

PM care is offered on Professional Days for those children enrolled in the After Care Program.

 

“Out of School” Services

 

Bay Montessori School offers “Out of School” extended care services on many days in which school is closed (Spring Break, Winter Break, Parent Teacher Conferences and select holidays).  Spaces in these classrooms will be limited, so advance registration is required.  Spaces will be filled based on the order registration forms are received at the beginning of August.  If on any given day there are insufficient  students signed up for care the School has the right to cancel this service and will inform parents 14 days prior to the day.  Please note that child care hours for these days are condensed to 8am to 5pm.  Late pick-ups will result in the same additional fees as after care during the school year.

 

This service is open to any student at Bay.  The fee for this service is not included in the annual contracted extended care fees.  The fee is $50/day and is due with the registration form at the beginning of August.  Once registered you may move or switch days within the school year (with notice and available space), but refunds will only be provided if Bay cancels your registered days’ services.

 

Please note:  On Noon Dismissal Professional Days child care will be provided until 5 pm for all students contracted for aftercare services.  The fee for these afternoons IS included in the annual contracted extended care fees and is not open to students who are not enrolled in the contracted PM extended care.  The Last Day of School is a Noon Dismissal Day for all students and child care will not be provided after Noon.  Parent/Teacher Conference Days are not covered under the annual contracted extended care fee but are included in the new “Out of School” extended care services and are open to any student who registers.
