Welcome to Bay Montessori School

 

We offer open enrollment throughout the school year.  In the spring, we begin enrollment for the summer program.  Students are enrolled on a first come, first served basis subject to availability, so we encourage you to apply early.

 

Priority enrollment consideration is given to re-enrolling students and siblings who meet admissions qualifications.  We look forward to meeting you soon.

 

All prosprective Bay Montessori Students (BMS) must submit an application form, apply online or download the application. During open house or scheduled school tours a General Information packet is given that includes the application form.  Please submit a $300 non-refundable deposit with your application to reserve a space for your child.

 

Primary students (3-6) will have an Orientation Interview in which the Directress, child and parent will meet in the classroom for 30 minutes to get acquainted and to introduce the child to the environment.  The Directress will contact you to schedule the orientation several days prior to your child’s start date.  The Pre-Primary and Elementary/Middle School classes will have an Open House the week before school starts.

 

Re-Enrollment 
 

Re-enrollment for currently enrolled students begins in February. During this period, re-enrolling families have first priority in securing enrollment for their children. Parents or guardians must return a tuition agreement and applicable deposit to the school to secure enrollment for the fall.

 

Early Withdrawal

 

Our tuition is calculated as one child’s share of the year’s operating expenses. Therefore, it is essential that parents understand that there can be no reduction or remission of fees if the child withdraws before the end of the school year. However, we understand that circumstances arise that require you to withdraw your child, and each request will be evaluated on an individual basis. Each child enters the school on a thirty-day trial basis. During the thirty-day period, the parent or the school may recommend withdrawal without penalty. After thirty-days, if the administrator decides the child would be best served in another environment, the child may withdraw without penalty.

 

Student Records

 

All student records are confidential. Parents have the right to review and add comments. Records are released only upon written parental consent and when all financial obligations have been met. Please give the office sufficient notice if records are to be transferred.
