Practical Life
is the link to the real world, exercising daily living.
Within this area the child begins to gain independence, order, concentration, coordination, self-control, and respect for self, others and the environment.

Sensorial
Awakens the child to an awareness of himself and the world in which he lives.
With hands-on materials, the child is able to explore and experience knowledge
through the use of  his/her senses.
They are designed to develop coordination, observational powers, and perception of the qualities of
shapes, dimensions, textures, and colors.

Language
fosters communication through movement.
It helps the child learn to express himself/herself and to communicate
with others verbally.


Math
introduces the child to symbols, quantities, properties, and the use of numbers.

Cultural
Includes art, music, movement.


Playground
is the gross motor area of our classroom. It opens up the outdoors, allowing the child to develop
a sense of appreciation for the beauty of his/her surroundings. The child is able to explore
and develop impressions of the wonders that are offered from his/her natural surroundings.
