Tuition
Agreement
The school relies upon its enrollment commitments in planning for
the year. Parents are required to sign the tuition agreement and
return it to the school by date requested. Please keep a copy for
your records.
Tuition
and Fees
Please refer to the tuition
schedule for your child's tuition amount. The tuition is an
annual fee. It is divided into ten payments for your convenience.
Tuition payments are due on the first day of each month; beginning
September 1 through June 1. There will be a $20.00 late fee after
the tenth of each month. Please make checks payable to:
Bay Montessori School, Inc.
20525 Willows Road
Lexington Park, MD 20653
No personal vacations, holidays, illness or snow day credit will
be given at any time. Payment for the entire month is required to
reserve a space for your child whether or not he/she is present
at school.
Late
Policy
Our late pick up policy is that any child here after 5:00pm will
be charged $30.00. After 5:15pm you will be charged another $5.00
for every 5 minutes thereafter. If you anticipate being late please
call either the school (301-737-2421) or the daycare house (301-737-1398).
AMS
(American Montessori Society) Membership
Bay Montessori School is affiliated with the American Montessori
Society (AMS). All families are encouraged to become members of
AMS. Some of the membership benefits include:
Montessori Life Magazine
A Montessori Manual for Parents
A 5% discount on materials and publications ordered from AMS (up
to $100.00).
For membership information, contact the office.
Withdrawal
The tuition is calculated as one child's share of the year's operating
expenses. Therefore, it is essential that parents understand that
there can be no reduction or remission of fees if the child withdraws
before the end of the school year. However, it is understood that
circumstances arise that require you to withdraw your child and
each request will be evaluated on an individual basis. Each child
enters the school on a thirty-day trial basis. During the thirty-day
period the parent or the school may recommend withdrawal without
penalty. After thirty-days if the directress decides the child would
function best in another type of environment the child may withdraw
without penalty.
